Lagona Le Alofa

A sad song about love and loss, but also of never forgetting.

A’o mou malie ese atu o le la
ma goto ifo ae o’o mai le pogisa
Le taimi lea o le tau afiafi
O mafaufauga ua sau tualasi mai ia oe honey

Lagona na o le alofa ia oe
E tumau pea i lo’u loto e,
E manatua i taimi uma lava
nai ou foliga e tu mai pea pei o se ata

Fa’asolo mai pea nai o’u manatu
ua na’o lagona o lo ta fia vaai atu
e faigata e pipi’i tia ae mamao ala
E a’e mauga e ifo i vanu ta va ile vasa

Lagona na o le alofa ia oe
E tumau pea i lo’u loto e,
E manatua i taimi uma lava
nai ou foliga e tu mai pea pei o se ata
nai ou foliga e tu mai pea pei o se ata

E ui ile tele o auro ma penina
Fugala’au sasala mai oute le i tauina
A’o fetu e fepulafi mai i atumauga Oe lau taimane oute tiu ai i o’u mafaufauga

Lagona na o le alofa ia oe
E tumau pea i lo’u loto e,
E manatua i taimi uma lava
nai ou foliga e tu mai pea pei o se ata
nai ou foliga e tu mai pea pei o se ata

Hi, my name is Sharon and this is to Leilani regarding Lagona le alofa. I’m sure this may seem a little weird but, I have and will continue to try everything to find the answers to the questions that I have. It’s kind of a long story and really not an easy way to make it short but, I’ll do my best. The easiest way might be to send a link to a video I made in May of 2011 in remembrance of the passing of my fiance a year earlier. You see, he was Samoan, half actually, half filipino but, raised 100% Samoan. He was born and raised in Hawaii. We met ten years earlier in Las Vegas. I am haouli (white) and what a pair we made! Crazy for each other and both fighting and embracing our differences with fury. I heard this song on YouTube and just felt a “pull” toward it, although I had no idea what it was about. After asking two of his cousins to help translate, lol, all they could do was give me a rough idea of it’s meaning and said I hit the nail on the head. So, I went ahead, trusted in their approval, and made my tribute to the man I love. However, it haunts me … I NEED to know the exact (I know impossible but, you know what I mean) translation. I can’t find it anywhere and, although I know many, many Samoans, I can’t find a single one who can do this for me. I don’t know if you ever even come to this page anymore but, like I said, I’ll never give up. When I happen across a new possibility, what the heck, I gotta give it a shot. Who knows, one day maybe I’ll learn the language well enough to translate the darn thing for myself, lol. But, at least for now, I am keeping my fingers crossed that you might be able to help. Regardless, here’s my video and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for listening to (or reading) my ramblings, Sharon

This may come soooo very late, but first of all, sorry for you loss. Hopefully this would ease the deepest longing.

While the sun slowly disappear
It will set and darkness appear
In the twilight at the dusk
Imaginations in abundance for you honey

These feelings of love for you
They remain in my heart
As memories at all times
Your face will remain like a portrait

While trains of my thoughts keeps rollin
Just feelings of hope to see
It is hard when within reach yet so far
Upon the mountains, through the valley divide by oceans

In-spite of great treasures and pearls
With the fragrance of flowers I could not take
While the stars brightly glaring above mountains
You’re my diamond for my adorning in imagination

Good luck

Nifoloa – Fell My Heartbeat

It’s the way she fills my senses
It’s the perfume that she wears
And I lose all my defences
Through the colour of her hair

[Bridge]
And every little piece of her is right
Just thinking about her
Takes me through the night.

[Chorus]
Feel my heartbeat
Taste my sweet kiss
I’ll be here forever
You and I can be together
Feel my love girl
And now you have my whole world.
Life is so sweet
When you feel my heartbeat

It’s the way she’s always smiling
Makes me think she’ll never cry
She keeps me warm when shes beside me
You can be my shining star tonight

[Bridge]
And every little piece of her is right
Just thinking about her
Takes me through the night.

[Chorus]
Feel my heartbeat
Taste my sweet kiss
I’ll be here forever
You and I can be together
Feel my love girl
And now you have my whole world.
Life is so sweet
When you feel my heartbeat

I can’t afford to lose you
And all the memories with me
O lo’u alofa ua fa’avalea
Ia oe suga le manamea

[Bridge]
And every little piece of her is right
Just thinking about her
Takes me through the night.

[Chorus]
Feel my heartbeat
Taste my sweet kiss
I’ll be here forever
You and I can be together
Feel my love girl
And now you have my whole world.
Life is so sweet
When you feel my heartbeat
When you feel my heartbeat

Feel my heartbeat

Nifoloa – Hate No More

Well I keep asking myself
Why are we hating in this world,
We’ve got a bunch of love in our hearts.
Well I think it’s the money,
All our different races
Fellows here now just stop.
Pointing fingers not right
Look into your own eyes
And let me know if you can see clear
If not, can I take a minute of your time
Please just listen and hear.

[Chorus]
Hate no more
Judge no more
Put it on the side and just ignore.
There are those in need,
Hundreds to feed
You’ll feel it if you put yourself under their feet.
Kill no more
Fight no more
Open up it’s me knocking on your doors
My name is Nifoloa
Hate no more

I wanna know why we fighting
See that part of our life and if not when can we be warned?
Why don’t you share what you got and give with all of your heart.
You will be happy cause you know you did right.
Don’t be selfish my friend
Do not stand like a mountain
You never know what tomorrow will bring
Sometimes we think we know the answers,
And we forget about others
Treat them the way you like to be treated

[Chorus]
Hate no more
Judge no more
Put it on the side and just ignore.
There are those in need,
Hundreds to feed
You’ll feel it if you put yourself under their feet.
Kill no more
Fight no more
Open up it’s me knocking on your doors
My name is Nifoloa
Hate no more

You know that love is the thing that will never fail,
If it comes staright from our heart.
Opportunity appears from the different ways,
Make it happen cause we only pass once.
You will be judged according to what you did in this world,
It goes around and come back to you
Start living in love and love more than others.
Be free and always feel good.

[Chorus]
Hate no more
Judge no more
Put it on the side and just ignore.
There are those in need,
Hundreds to feed
You’ll feel it if you put yourself under their feet.
Kill no more
Fight no more
Open up it’s me knocking on your doors
My name is Nifoloa
Hate no more

Hate no more
Judge no more
Put it on the side and just ignore.
There are those in need,
Hundreds to feed
You’ll feel it if you put yourself under their feet.
Kill no more
Fight no more
Open up it’s me knocking on your doors
My name is Nifoloa
Hate no more
