(Hero Alea Version)

Sa ou malosi i le lalolagi
A ua galo ia te a’u o le o silisili eseese i le lagi
E ui ina ou savali i le pogisa
Ae sa alofa mai pea o ia
O le ala lea ua ou toe ola ai…

Sa ou savali i le vanu o le oti
Sa e fa’atasi mai
O lo’u la’au ma lo’u to’oto’o sa ou mafana ai
Sa e u’u mau a’u mai i le oti ma le malaia
O le ala lea ua ou toe ola ai…

Sa ou fa’amoemoe i lo’u malosi
A ina ou taoto ua le toe iai so’u loto
Toe manatua vave oe Iesu

Sa ou malosi i le lalolagi…I’ve gone too deep into world
A ua galo ia te a’u o le o silisili eseese i le lagi…Without a thought of the Mighty God in heaven
E ui ina ou savali i le pogisa…Though I walked in the darkness
Ae sa alofa mai pea o ia….But he loves me still unconditionally
O le ala lea ua ou toe ola ai……This the reason why I survive to live again

Sa ou savali i le vanu o le oti….I was walking in the valley of death
      Sa e fa’atasi mai…Thou art with me
O lau la’au ma lou to’oto’o sa ou mafana ai….Thy rod and thy staff comforted me
Sa e u’u mau a’u mai i le oti ma le malaia…You took hold tightly cherished me from death and calamity
O le ala lea ua ou toe ola ai…This the reason why I survive to live again

Sa ou fa’amoemoe i lo’u malosi….Relying soley on my strength
A ina ou taoto ua le toe iai so’u loto…But when I was layed out not of my own will
Toe manatua vave oe Iesu….Then I quickly remembered you Jesus
Na maliu ona o a’u…. You’ve died in my stead
O le ala lea ua ou toe ola ai……This the reason why I survive to live again

Sa ou savali i le vanu o le oti….I was walking in the valley of death
      Sa e fa’atasi mai…..Thou art with me
O lau la’au ma lou to’oto’o sa ou mafana ai…Thy rod and thy staff comforted me
Sa e u’u mau a’u mai i le oti ma le malaia….You took hold tightly cherished me from death and calamity
O le ala lea ua ou toe ola ai……..This the reason why I survive to live again

E agi le matagi i le mea o iai….The wind will blow to where it listed
E susulu mai foi o le la i le ao….The sun will shine throughout day
O faailoga ia o lona pupula….These are the symbols of his brightness
Ma le mamalu e le mafai ona malo….And his glory shall never fade
O le ala lea ou te si’i atu ai le vi’iga….This is why I lifted up your praise

Sa ou savali i le vanu o le oti….I was walking in the valley of death
      Sa e fa’atasi mai….Thou art with me
O lo’u la’au ma lo’u to’oto’o sa ou mafana ai…..Thy rod and thy staff comforted me
Sa e u’u mau a’u mai i le oti ma le malaia…..You took hold tightly cherrished me from death and calamity
O le ala lea ua ou toe ola ai…….This the reason why I survive to live again

O le ala lea ua ou toe ola ai…….This the reason why I survive to live again

O le ala lea ua ou toe ola ai…….This the reason why I survive to live again
