Pe a e siva mai fa’asamoa

O oe lava o le tausala
Se’ese’e maia la’ia ma ‘ata
Funa e ua lasi ou taga

Tiga le tele o siva mai fafo
ese’esega i faiga ma uiga, peita’i
se’i lalo lalo maia le teine Samoa
Oka oka, ua ova!

Pe a e siva mai fa’asamoa
O oe lava o le tausala
Se’ese’e maia la’ia ma ‘ata
Funa e ua lasi ou taga

Tiga le tele o siva mai fafo
ese’esega i faiga ma uiga, peita’i
se’i lalo lalo maia le teine Samoa
Oka oka, ua ova!

E pele oe i lo’u loto, Samoa
i lau aganu’u na
Lou lalelei e tumau pea
O oe ua le o lelea

Tiga le tele o siva mai fafo
ese’esega i faiga ma uiga, peita’i
se’i lalo lalo maia le teine Samoa
Oka oka, ua ova!

Ua mamalu le fa’asamoa
Ua uma ona e iloa
E ta’uta’ua i le Pasefika
Samoa i ona uiga

Tiga le tele o siva mai fafo
ese’esega i faiga ma uiga, peita’i
se’i lalo lalo maia le teine Samoa
Oka oka, ua ova!

Tiga le tele o siva mai fafo
ese’esega i faiga ma uiga, peita’i
se’i lalo lalo maia le teine Samoa
Oka oka, ua ova!

I have read that the placing of the woman’s foot on the man is very disrespectful and would not be done in the traditional dance. The whole meaning of the dance is altered this way, isn’t it? That said, I love this culture and their love of Christ.
