A song about the last dance of a celebratory Samoan gathering – le taualuga – performed by a taupou.
Fa’avai lou tino, tasi ou taga fo’i e manino
Afai la e te fia talitonu, sau ia se’i e maimoa
O si ona faiga e fesuisuia’i e le tumau i se mea e tasi
e le gata ile se’e, tino ao faamane’ene’e
(Ou te le tala ole, Punialava’a)
Ou te le tala ole
e silisili tama o le lole
E alaala po fai sau sofesofe
ma tunu fa’avave sau kofe
Aua lou moa ne’i molemole
Tago maia fusi atu a’u
ma fa’amafanafana lo’u fatu
Na ou tago atu lea opo mai oe
ma popo faamoemoe
Tago maia fusi atu a’u
Tago maia fusi atu a’u
ma fa’amafanafana lo’u fatu
Na ou tago atu lea opo mai oe
ma popo faamoemoe
Here’s a quick, rough translation until I have time to do a proper one (all other translators and translations welcome, too lol):
Vs 1
The taualuga dance will close everything (end the function)
Rejoice/celebrate and slide/glide in, it is beautiful
Make your body graceful (like liquid), that’s one action that’s clear
be regal, it is only you, after all, at the top
Chorus
Of all of Polynesia, I declare, the Samoan siva is best
If you want to believe it, come and see
Its actions are varied, they don’t stay the same
it doesn’t stop at the gliding (of feet), but also the gracefulness of the body
Vs 2
That guy of the public (random guy)
Anyone who dances, whether guy or girl (it’s the same)
dances with smiles, it’s a great day
show your happiness through your Samoan siva
p.s. I haven’t translated the second song in this medley.. Ou te le tala ole has too many alagaupu in it. I’ll translate later when I figure out what those proverbs mean 😀

Is there anyway we can get lyrics for the song: “Do it, Do it”? That’s another one of my favorites by Marina/Pacific Soul 🙂

Sara-Jane from Pacific Soul said (via her YouTube account) they never even recorded this song!!! This track is by Marina Davis from her solo debut album which featured collabs with Jamoa Jam – she has a VERY identifiable voice! beautiful!
Gosh.. I knew that, too! lol … Thank you Taio for pointing that out. Not sure how this song got added to the Pacific Soul list, but it’s fixed now 🙂
