Was wondering if someone can provide a translation.. doesn’t have to be a literal word for word translation.. just wanted to know what the meaning of the song was…
The song is about justification through Christ. The singer is saying thank you for a peaceful heart brought about by the gift of eternal life.
Verse 1 My Father, thank you for your Great love that you have adopted me We worship you now
Verse 2 I am astonished at this grace you have given me for I was a sinner We worship you now
chorus Thank you, I worship you For Jesus is a brother of mine and I will live forever We worship you now
verse 3 For now I will not be afraid, but I will adore you and proclaim you are my Father we worship you now
Love this! So reminds me coming up… family prayer time. Thanks for posting!
Anyone know who sang the version that was studio recorded but it sounded like a jam session in the beginning of the song? I could have sworn it was Lole Usoali’i and Jamoa Jam singing and it was more like a modern gospel version of the song..I can’t find it anywhere but I used to listen to it all the time when I was younger.bert
Bert, i think your looking for the version sung by Lole and Adeaze.
So grateful for this. I am Samoan and I remember the hymns but I don’t know or understand our language so this is very helpful. I know it’s frowned on in our culture not to know the language but I am still proud of my culture but most proud of the God I serve and this hymn is Biblically on point!!!
Does anyone know the chords to this awesome song…? Id like to play this on guitar, but im not a natural…lol. please.
