An anthem of pride and patriotism about beautiful Samoa. This song is often sung in large church and family gatherings.ย

ย Lo ta nu’u na ou fanau ai

O lo’u nu’u i le vasa e

E ua lalelei Samoa

Ua sui lou tautai
Lou mamalu ia mau ai

Mea lelei e atia’e ai
Lou mamalu ia mautu
Mata’upu, tau Iesu

Ia fai oe ma nu’u tumau
Olaola lau fanau
Ia vi’ia e fa’avavau
Le ua pule aoao

Samoans are of infinite worth… Our heavenly father loves each andevery one of us. He knows us!! Our grieves, frustration, disappointments, wants, needs, and especially our unrewarded efforts!! Samoa famumua letua, e famumua foi letua samoa.

After every family or church event Lo ta nu’u is sang… It makes everyone emotional & sad, its hard to leave everyone that you love.. Also remembering the people of Samoa that lost their lives in the 2009 tsunami, Rest in Love.

Does anyone know how old this song is? wondering if it is in the public domain. We’re making a CD of multicultural music for our hospital and would like to include something from Samoa.
